First, let me point out that I purchased the GL-X3000 (Spitz AX) myself, unlike many reviewers who received the product for free. With high expectations and a desire to upgrade from the Cudy P5, I can confidently say that the GL-X3000 (Spitz AX) lives up to the hype.
Right after unpacking, I noticed the compact size (similar to the GL-X750V2 (taper)) and solid workmanship. It is neither heavy nor fragile. Notably, the built-in heatsink and fan set it apart from other routers on the market.
The user interface provided by GL.iNET meets your expectations - intuitive, useful and feature-rich. But the experiment doesn't stop there. The Advanced Settings page takes you to the LuCI interface and allows for deeper customization options.
Setting up the router is easy and it seamlessly connects to 5G SA, NSA, and LTE networks. On my T-Mobile network, I've consistently achieved impressive download speeds of around 400Mbps and upload speeds of nearly 100Mbps. Of particular note is the range lock option, which allows the user to prioritize selected laps.
VPN integration and extensive routing table customization options provide great functionality tailored to individual needs. It is worth noting that the device supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, which is a definite plus. With native IPv6 resolution, I no longer need a VPN to play Xbox games, as the router allows direct access to the Internet, resulting in extremely short connection times of 9ms.
A standout feature of the GL-X3000 (Spitz AX) is the advanced summary page that displays real-time data such as temperature, system load, and memory usage. In addition, it offers the possibility to set the fan activation temperature individually.
For enthusiasts who want extensive personalization, the LUCI interface allows you to explore customized driving rules to suit even the most specific scenarios.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the GL-X3000 (Spitz AX) router. It exceeded all my expectations and did what it promised. Its exceptional performance, numerous customization options, and outstanding features make it the best in its class.
