Since I'm using an iMac's 27-inch 5K Retina display, I'm interested in finding a good, big 4K display for my new MacBook Pro M2. I finally realized that the original iMac display was set to 1440p vertical resolution (though). It has twice the pixel density of Dell, which results in a very sharp image. Therefore, without hesitation, I tried the 34-inch ultrawide where you are spoiled for choice.
The Dell Ultrasharp displays some really great images and while it can't match the pixel count of a Retina 5K display, it doesn't disappoint. Small text is less legible and more noticeable when it's in bold. After about an hour of use, I was drunk for more than 5 km.
The wide curved screen is ideal for professional use (such as editing text documents side by side) and the 60Hz refresh rate is more than enough here. Not being a gamer, I can't comment on this aspect of the monitor specs. Since it's not a photo/video editor either, it can't say anything about things like color customization.
With 90 watts of power from the primary USB-C port, your MacBook instantly recognizes the screen and sets the correct resolution. The size is flawless. A variety of built-in ports can also eliminate the need for a separate docking station or hub, depending on your specific needs.
Finally, the only downside: the sound. These headphones are suitable for professional use and casual music play, but won't impress audiophiles. If your needs go beyond the basics, consider upgrading to a standalone subwoofer.
The stand is quite solid and heavy, adjustable in height and inclination. So far I am very happy with this choice, the wide screen combined with the possibility of having virtual Mac desktops has opened up a whole new world of advantages for me.
