I bought this board to use on my workbench when I was building my last computer. My monitor is stand-mounted on a desk and requires portable equipment. It fully meets that need. It has a small installation space and was a great solution for my needs. I'll also put it in my laptop bag and use it as a second monitor while on the go. When using a laptop I always want more screen real estate.
The board is powered via a USB-C connector. Of course you can power the board from the connector which also contains the data. I haven't tested this option yet. The card comes in a very inexpensive box. Despite being thin, it protects the screen and allows the screen to stand up like any flip case. But the thin cover and the little grooves that hold the bottom of the board in place make it easy to move around. But if you're careful, it should do the trick.
The card has a speaker that doesn't sound great, but can be useful if your system has no other audio outputs. As for the display quality, I'm happy with it. This is a reasonably priced palette and it exceeded my expectations. I bought this device for less than $90 and for that price I highly recommend it.
