Panel: Good IPS panel, basic HDR400 support, decent saturation and contrast (it's not OLED for IPS, after all). 1080P, up to 144Hz, with actual Freesync support over USB-C (not HDMI because HDMI 2.0 is not gsync compatible when using an Nvidia GPU). No ghosting and pixel response times are excellent (definitely less than 5ms compared to other laptop screens or similar types of laptop panels I've used).
Connections: You have two options - HDMI 2.0 or USB-C. USB-C is definitely the right choice because it provides an input signal and power; If you connect to a PC, also enable Freesync / VRR. A mini DisplayPort is also expected, but USB-C is a nice touch.
Compatibility: Tested on PC / Steamdeck / Android phone (S22U with Dex desktop mode), all work great. On PC, you can choose between different screen resolutions up to 144Hz. On Steamdeck, Steam defaults to 800p 60Hz, but you can set it up to 1080p/144Hz in the options. If you have the right USB-C adapter with a charging card, you can charge your Steam Surface and this portable display with a single USB wall charger - very convenient! (Update: I tried powering the monitor from a steamdeck on just battery power with a USB-C cable - and it worked! I think the board is very power efficient.).
Design: Thin and light, with a magnetic cover that doubles as a stand — only gripe is that the magnet doesn't stay in place.
