How to set up parental controls in the Google Assistant

Google Assistant is available on many devices, for example b. There are several ways to access and configure Google Assistant parental controls. Voice Match recognizes your child's voice and associates it with their Google Account so Google Assistant can give them personalized results and choose the right settings.

1- To set up parental controls using the Family Link app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Family Link app on your Android or iOS device.
  2. Select the child account you want to configure and click on the “Control” option.
  3. Select (Content Restrictions), then click (Google Assistant).
  4. Click on Parental Controls and then click on Settings.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup.

2- To set up parental controls using the Google Home app, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Google Home app on your Android device, iPhone, or iPad.
  2. To configure, click (Settings) in the lower right corner.
  3. Under (Main Features) Google Assistant, select (Google Assistant).
  4. Click on Parental Controls.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup.

3- To set up parental controls with Google Assistant, follow these steps:

  1. Activate the Google Assistant on any of your smart devices using the Google Assistant app or by saying "Hey Google".
  2. Say (Open Assistant Settings) to open Assistant Settings.
  3. Click View all processor settings.
  4. Click on Parental Controls.
  5. When the on-screen instructions appear, follow them to complete the setup.

To change parental control settings:

If you want to change parental controls settings, you will need a Family Link account and you can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Family Link app on your Android phone.
  2. Select the child whose parental controls can access the content you want to edit.
  3. Click Controls, then click Content Restrictions.
  4. Select (Google Assistant) Google Assistant.
  5. Click on Parental Controls.
  6. Select the option you want to change.
  7. Adjust the appropriate settings for your child.
