The ability to change the voice in a video recorded on TikTok is one of the most important features of the app and adds more character and fun to your videos. To use it, follow these steps:
- Open the TikTok app on your phone.
- Click the (+) button at the bottom of the homepage and start recording the video.
- When you finish recording, click the check mark in the lower right corner.
- From the Tools menu on the left, click Language.
- Choose one of the available sound effects and click Save.
- Click Next and upload your video to TikTok.
Users can choose from a variety of audio filters in the app including: Chimpunk, Baritone, Microphone, Megaphone, Robot, Battery Discharge, Vibrato, Electronic, Echo, Synth, Helium, Gium, and Gian. However, you may not be able to access some of the filters. Since it is new, it is not yet available to all users.

You can change your voice when adding a voiceover to a video that you want to publish on the app by following these steps:
- Open the TikTok app and tap the (+) button at the bottom of the home page.
- Click Download at the bottom left.
- From the list of tools on the right, click the microphone icon.
- Click Record and save your voiceover.
- Click Finish, then select the audio filter and click Save.
