- Scroll down until you get to the Android version option. Your device's version number is displayed under the words (Android version). If the number is 13, then your phone is running Android 13.

Currently, Android 13 is the latest Android version, which will be released on August 15, 2022. Android 14 is expected to be released to users in the fall of 2023.

The Android phones with the best support period for system updates are the Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones. So, if you want to get the latest system updates in the long term, the most important thing is to choose a phone from a company that supports long term updates for its devices.
Galaxy phones released in 2019 or later will receive four years of security updates, while newer devices will receive up to five years of security updates.
On the other hand, Google starts with the Pixel 6 series and receives three years of Android updates and five years of security updates on its devices. Pixel 5a and earlier will receive system and security updates for three years, which means Pixel 3 and earlier models will no longer be supported.

- Your device will automatically start searching for the latest available update. If an available update is found, a warning will appear on the screen.
- Click the Download and install now button to download and install the update on your phone.
- Your phone will automatically start installing the update. This may take a few moments. Then the phone will restart automatically for the new changes to take effect.
