Last Monday, Zoom announced new features for Zoom IQ Assistant: meeting summary and team chat telephony that will help teams increase productivity, balance work priorities, and collaborate more effectively. .
With meeting summaries, meeting hosts don't need to record conversations for automated summaries, while Teams Chat Compose powered by OpenAI creates message drafts based on chat sequences.

1- Summary of the meeting:
Zoom meeting hosts can enable meeting summaries to automatically summarize meetings, and then send summaries to hosts via Teams chat or email. The host can then send it to all present or absent, increasing productivity and improving team collaboration.
2- The feature of creating team conversations:
Teams chat users can take advantage of AI-powered generative compose, which leverages OpenAI technology to generate messages based on the context of the Teams thread, change message style and length, and re-type response phrases to customize text recommendations.
You can access the above features by going to your Zoom admin console and signing up for a free trial of each feature. However, these features are currently only available to users on paid plans.
In addition to the previous features, Zoom also announced upcoming Zoom IQ features that are expected to be available to users in the coming weeks, namely:
- Compose Emails: Leverage generative AI to create emails based on the context of previous Zoom meetings, Zoom phone calls, and emails.

- Meeting request: This feature allows users to ask questions about an ongoing meeting and receive contextual responses generated by artificial intelligence. If users are late without disturbing the meeting, they can use this feature to see which meeting topics they missed. All a user needs to do in a meeting is ask a question and this generative ability of AI will provide the answer.
- Whiteboard draft feature: This feature helps generate initial ideas based on specific text prompts.
- Whiteboard Summary: This feature automatically organizes ideas added to the whiteboard into categories for easy access, saving time, and increasing productivity.
Who can access Zoom IQ features?
Anyone with a paid Zoom plan has access to a trial version of the meeting and group chat telephony streams, which is currently only available in English. However, only the meeting host can enable the meeting flow option.
