Settings you can adjust after purchasing a new iPhone to improve your user experience

iPhone is one of the most popular smartphones used by millions of people around the world due to the high level of security provided by the Apple technology platform. And when you get a new iPhone, you'll be happy to use it right away. However, there are some settings that you can change on your iPhone to improve your experience with it. We mention the following:

1- Customize iPhone screen settings:

After turning on your iPhone for the first time, the first thing you need to do is adjust your iPhone's display settings and adjust the backlight and brightness to your liking.

To adjust screen settings, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Settings app and select Display & Brightness.
  2. From here you can choose between light and dark modes, or set these modes to change automatically depending on the time of day.

You can also enable True Tone, a feature that automatically adjusts your screen's color and brightness based on ambient light. If you want to protect your eyesight, you should set up a schedule to automatically turn on the night shift, which filters out blue light and changes screen colors to warmer ones.

2- Check the warranty:

Apple offers a one-year warranty on new iPhones. However, if you bought a used iPhone, the warranty may have expired or it may only be a few months old.

To check, go to the Check Device Coverage page and enter your phone's serial number. If your iPhone is new, you also have the option to upgrade to AppleCare+ within 60 days of purchasing your phone.

3- Adjust security settings:

If you're buying a new iPhone, you'll need to set up biometric authentication, go to the Settings app and select (Face ID & Passcode) or (Touch ID & Passcode) on older models, then start setting up the feature. You can also turn on Face ID or Touch ID when shopping in the App Store, autofill passwords, and use Apple Pay.

On the other hand, make sure you set up Find My on your new iPhone so you can track your phone if it's ever lost or stolen. To do this, go to Settings, tap on your name, and select Find My. in order to do so.

With this app, you can check the location of all your Apple devices as long as they use the same Apple ID on all devices.

4- Adjust your privacy settings to limit tracking:

You can use the ad settings on your iPhone to improve your privacy and limit the tracking of your activity so that relevant ads can be shown to you. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Settings app and select Privacy and Security.
  2. Select (Apple ads) and make sure that the Personalize Ads setting is turned off.
  3. Next, make sure Allow apps to request to track is turned on because this feature restricts tracking of your location and activities, and make sure you select the apps you want to allow tracking for.
  4. After enabling this feature and installing a new app on your phone, the first time you open the app, you will see a popup asking if you want to allow the app to track you.

5- Backup via iCloud:

iCloud is the best cloud storage and backup method for Apple device users, which allows you to keep a copy of your photos, documents and all private data and restore them at any time. When you sign up for iCloud, you automatically get 5GB of free cloud storage.

To set up iCloud backup, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Settings app and tap on your name.
  2. Select iCloud and then turn on iCloud Backup.

Once you turn on your iPhone, it automatically backs up your data every day when it's locked, charged, and connected to Wi-Fi. The iCloud settings page allows you to choose which apps you want to turn on backing up.
