First, I think with a list price of around $200, this is a good value tablet system. You have to have the right expectations for it, since there's no brand name, even though it's running Android 11, as I'll explain below.
Let's start with the positive aspects first:
1. This is a true all-in-one kit that includes probably every accessory you could ever need. Now the quality of the accessories isn't the best (Which I'm impressed with. Yes, everything is included in the price.
2. The tablet itself is a decent size, not too heavy and seems to have great battery life at least on first use. It covers all the bases well - video playback is smooth and web browsing is obviously fine.
3. The touch screen isn't bad either - it's easy to use and comes with a screen protector that doesn't change the feel of the touch screen.
Now for the negatives:
1. The biggest downside I see is the inability to update software. Android 11 is not the latest version today and I haven't seen a way to update the built-in features. Also what bothers me the most is that the security updates are so late (last version was in 2021) and from the research I've done on the tablet there's no way to upgrade either.
2. The network interface and bluetooth seem to be gone. On one app (it's a karaoke app that allows me to update to the latest songs) I can't finish downloading new updates because the network adapter interface seems to crash and restart automatically, which causes the connection to drop and the app won't be able to recover. Now I feel it's a problem with the tablet and the app (they should be better at handling network outages), but even then it makes the tablet unusable for the very basic functions I'd like to use as a tablet.
3. I don't like the position of the charging cable port slot. It's on the top of the tablet instead of the bottom, which is a little awkward. For most apps this isn't a problem as it automatically rotates so I can scroll up/down. However, I found this feature to be unavailable in some applications, resulting in the rack being used in the correct up/down position. , the charging cable is connected.
Overall, I think it's a great tablet for the price. It gets 1 star mainly because of the lack of software/security updates. So if you plan to use it to install a lot of apps, you might want to look elsewhere.
