With each release of the iPadOS operating system for the iPad, Apple has added new features to improve the user experience, and in iPadOS 17 Apple has added a variety of new features and improvements to make the iPad more productive and many things easier to do. Some of them we will mention below:
1- The interface organizer has become more flexible:
The scene manager in iPadOS 16 lets you resize app windows, but you can't precisely control the size of app windows. To give you more control, the interface organizer will be more detailed in the next version of iPadOS 17. Flexible, you can easily change the size of the application window. All you have to do is grab it by the corner and resize it as needed.
You'll also notice more flexibility in arranging application windows in the interface manager, as you can place windows where you want them, and you can also specify how many windows you want to overlap and lie on the side, so that four windows on the iPad at the same time lay out the screen.
2- Improvements for ease of handling PDF files:
The iPad is great for working with PDFs, annotating, editing, etc., and in the iPadOS 17 update, Apple is improving this experience by adding other useful features, namely:
- The ability to view PDFs in full screen mode for easier reading and to add comments and annotations.
- Machine learning on the iPad recognizes fields in PDFs so you can easily add information like name, address, and other information to them.
- The ability to work with and annotate PDFs in the Notes app and see real-time updates with live collaboration as users share notes with others.
3- Safari profile features:
Apple added a new feature called Safari Profiles to the Safari browser in the iPadOS 17 update to make it easier to customize the browser, where you can set up one account for work and another for personal browsing sessions. Each account has its own history, cookies and favourites.
To create a new account in Safari, follow these steps:
- Go to (System Preferences), then select (Safari).
- Scroll down and in the Tabs section, tap New Profile, add a name and account code, and set favorites and other preferences.
4- Interactive widgets on the lock screen:
Apple has improved the tools in all of its devices including the iPad. In iPadOS 17, the widget functionality becomes interactive, allowing users to easily perform many tasks from the lock screen, such as: b- Turn on or off smart home devices, listen to music, or play music. radio etc.
5- New features in the Freeform app:
Apple's Freeform app will include a new feature called "Follow Below," which will allow everyone on the board to see what other users are doing, which can be useful when managing large projects. Apple also added new drawing tools like watercolors, pencils, etc. You'll also find tilt support and the ability to add new connectors and shapes for each element.
