Currently, in the Messages app on iPhone, you can reply to a specific message by long-pressing on the message and then typing a reply. However, in iOS 17, you can swipe up on the message to reply directly.

4- Convert voice messages into text:
Google Pixel phones have a feature that converts voicemail messages into text messages, so you can read the content of your voicemail message without hearing it while it is playing. In iOS 17, Apple added a similar feature to the Messages app, but it's unclear if typed voicemail messages will appear automatically or if you have to tap a specific button to start the transcription process.

You can share your location with someone in the current version of the Messages app by tapping their name at the top of the conversation and then tapping Send Current Location. A map will then appear with your location.
But in iOS 17 the process will be much easier, you need to click on the (+) button next to the field intended for writing the message text, then in the list of displayed applications you will find the "Location" option. , which you can click. 6- Communication function:
Recordings are one of the most useful new features of the Messages app in iOS 17. If you need to go somewhere, you can start a recording in the conversation and let the recipient know where you are and when you'll be there. When you arrive at your destination, Check-In automatically sends a notification to the person you spoke to in Messages that you have reached your destination.
However, if you run late, your iPhone will remind you if you need to extend your time beyond the estimated time of arrival. If you don't respond after a set amount of time, the check-in will tell the recipient your last location, how much battery power is left on your iPhone, and the status of your cellular service.
