If you want to use ChatGPT for this purpose, the following ChatGPT-enabled applications provide you with better options for scanning documents and PDFs:
1- Unliddle app:
The Unliddle web application uses the GPT-4 language model and is only designed to parse documents to provide answers for the given material. It can handle about 500,000 words, far exceeding ChatGPT's 4,000 word capacity.
This application supports PDF, DOC, and URL file formats and can scan 120 pages for free. However, if you want to use it frequently, you need to subscribe to the Pro plan at $20/month or the Premium plan at $50/month.
On the other hand, Google Chrome browser users can install the app extension (Unriddle: AI-Generated Summaries) to easily read any longer article online. The appendix analyzes and summarizes the article and you can also ask questions about the content. From the article.
2- Klavier app :
Klavier web app can parse documents, PDFs, TXT and HTML files and you can ask it to summarize articles online.
This app differs from the others on the list in that it is completely free. However, it is slower than other applications and does not provide answers as detailed as Unriddle.
However, you cannot create an account in Piano to save scanned files. You should only be working with one source at a time. If you add a new source for parsing, the previous content will be lost.
3- LXI.ai App:
LXI.ai web app supports PDF, DOCX, TXT and URL file formats and scans documents to provide concise answers to your questions about document content.
First, add a document from your computer or text from a web page. LXI.ai analyzes the text you add or the information in the document. You can then ask questions about the content of the document and about LXI. ai gives you concise answers.
But (LXI.ai) is not a free app, after a 14-day trial period, you must pay to use it, but you pay according to your use and do not subscribe to the pre-selected plan. You have to pay 10 cents per month for every megabyte of data downloaded. There is a fee of $0.0025 for each question you ask.
4- Docalysis app:
Docalysis uses its own technology to save and analyze PDF files. After uploading a PDF to the app, you can open it to view its content on the left side of the app screen while the chat box with the bot appears on the right side. This app uses the power of ChatGPT to understand and respond to your request based on the information on file.
You can work with only one PDF file at a time, and you cannot query multiple documents at the same time. Chatbots remember the context of current conversations, but not previous conversations once the chat window is closed.
