This is my first smartwatch and I am amazed at the features at this price point (around $50). All features listed by the seller appear to work as expected, but I cannot guarantee the technical accuracy of the measurements. For example, I was both amazed and disappointed by how slow he claimed I was walking - I thought my brisk pace was about 4 mph, but he claimed my pace was only 2.8 mph.
Most of these types of products are software. So if you're thinking of ordering a watch, be sure to find the Project app on Google Play and read their reviews. The watch app is called "veryfit" and it seems to work with several smartwatch models. Be prepared that you won't be able to use the watch without using the app at least once just to "register" the device. The seller asks for your email address, but doesn't make it mandatory, and you seem to get all the functionality of the watch and the app without sharing them. One feature of the app is that it can download firmware updates for the watch's software. I can't predict the frequency of these updates, but they do work when my watch "registers".
Convenience is another "must" for this type of product. To get the most out of this product, you need to wear it 24/7, so the strap and back should be comfortable. The strap that came with the watch is a simple rubbery black plastic, possibly silicone, which I find comfortable. I've seen people on Amazon request compatible replacement bands. My advice is to check with the seller directly. I'm not happy with the strap's unique design decision. Instead of providing a slip ring for securing slack to the belt, the belt itself has a mounting hole where you can insert slack. I find this "feature" difficult to use, but I can live with envy.
The watch does not come with high quality written documentation. The seller expects you to use the documentation that accompanies the "veryfit" application. You do not need to be connected to the Internet for this, it is included in the downloaded application.
At the moment, there are not many ways to customize the "look" of the watch. You can go online and download all the "faces" available, but as for this one the last time I checked, there were very few options. Also, the watch only saves memory for an extra "face," so you can't download a set and play it on the go.
