I've been using the Venus smartwatch for about three days now and I'm really impressed with its performance. Although I haven't tried all of them, the ones I have used work just fine. The heart rate monitor was as accurate as most digital monitors, and the watch kept local weather updates and three-day forecasts as long as I was within range of my phone's Bluetooth.
The watch face is customizable and has many options to choose from. However, you cannot create your own themes. It also has an always-on mode that only shows the time but drains the battery faster. The screen doesn't show anything until you raise your wrist and the screen turns on automatically.
For sports tracking, the watch offers walking, running, hiking, yoga, steps, calories, and other modes. While I haven't tested them all, the pedometer seems to be as accurate as most. Also, most watch faces show steps count and calories burned without having to switch to another screen.
The comfortable and secure band is made of a soft yet durable material that prevents it from slipping around your wrist. It's not as big as I expected, and it's actually smaller than my previous $12 watch. Just the right size and looks great on the wrist.
Although I wasn't able to test the screen in direct or indirect sunlight, you can adjust the brightness for easier reading in all lighting conditions. As a night owl, I'm thankful that the watch's screen doesn't disturb my sleep.
Pairing the watch with my phone was painless and worked the first time, which was a relief after having trouble pairing with other devices in the past. The watch also has an impressive Bluetooth range, allowing me to stay connected to my phone through walls and rooms.
Overall, I'm very happy with the Venus smartwatch, especially for the price. This watch is presented in well-designed packaging that shows that the manufacturer places as much importance on the appearance of the product as it does on the function. Highly recommended!
