The iPhone has a built-in tracking app called Find My that can be used to locate your iPhone if you lose it with another Apple device but don't have another Apple device. You can use any android phone to find your lost iphone. Use "Search".
Here we explain how to do that and other methods you can use to track a lost iPhone using your Android phone:
1- How to use Find My on Android:
Find My comes pre-installed on all iPhones and allows you to track your phone's real-time location from other Apple devices like your Mac or iPad, even when you're offline, low on battery, or turned off.
Although Apple does not offer an Android version of the Find My app, you can access Find My on the iCloud website from the web browser app on any Android device by following these steps:
- Open your Android device's web browser and go to iCloud.com.
- Sign in with your Apple ID and password. If you're using someone else's Android phone, be sure to use Incognito mode or sign out of iCloud when you're done.
- Click the Find Device button at the bottom of the screen.
- On the next page, you can see your iPhone's current location on a map and follow the instructions to get there.
- On the same page, you can perform multiple actions to control your phone remotely. For example: You can enable (Lost Mode) to prevent unauthorized access to your iPhone or erase data from your device if you think it has been stolen and you may not be able to recover it.
2- How to find iPhone using Google Maps on Android:
If you have installed the Google Maps app on your iPhone and turned on location history before you lost your phone, you can use the Google Maps app on Android to find it.
With this feature, you can know where your lost iPhone is, but you can't track the exact location of your phone. With your location history on Google Maps, you can see where you've been and narrow your options regarding areas where you may have lost it. To try this method, follow these steps:
- Open the Google Maps app on your Android phone and sign in with the same Google account that you use on your iPhone.
- Click on your account picture in the upper right corner and select (your schedule).
- Check your recent places history and try to remember where you might have lost your iPhone.
3- Use a Third-Party Phone Tracking App:
You can use a third party phone tracker app on your Android phone to locate your lost iPhone. However, this method only works if you have installed a phone tracking app on your iPhone before you lost it.
Phone tracking apps or location sharing apps can be used to recover lost iPhone. These apps use the global positioning system (GPS) to accurately locate your phone in real time and provide many of the features available in Apple's Find My app. An example of such an app is the Life360 app for Android and iPhone users.
If you installed the app before your phone was lost, you can log into your Life360 account from your Android phone and track the current location of your iPhone.
