Great value for money. Crisp, clear display, flawless functionality, and even the cables (USB-C with power/video and a mini-to-standard HDMI cable, most people won't have) and a separate USB-C power adapter (although the cable is short). (So if you're not going to power it from other devices, best to keep it near an outlet.) Speakers - Not great for a movie night with the ladies, but sounds surprisingly good - 3.5mm aux This included a lot of money for me and one of the reasons I to choose this particular model.
If you look at dozens of renders and they all look like the same device but with different names and completely different prices, yes, you're usually right, but sometimes they seem to be 1:1 premium specs. For example, the device markets itself as a Smart Cover Stand, which also means - no VESA mount option. Some of these have VESA threaded holes for mounting them to a monitor stand or even a wall mount, so keep that in mind as well. I'm going to use the included easel because I plan on traveling with it a lot, but if you want to ditch the cover, a $5 painting or photo easel works great on a table, too.
Cables: No small feat - I'm glad this device comes with all the cables you need. But... in theory, USB-C is the perfect cable for things like this — it can transmit audio, video, data, and power over the same simple cable connection. Even an iPad (provided it's fully charged or plugged in) can send video to the screen and save power, so you can work unplugged and still use two screens despite your charger. Of course, this will quickly drain more power. but! ! ! ! ! Not all USB-c cables are fully functional, and even high-end ones can be confusing. Often, but not always, a "SS" or SuperSpeed cable will do, but I've encountered SS cables that don't charge or don't charge and send video - there's no easy DIY way to determine.
Pro tip don't freak out: the device comes with disabled HDR - which is fine for most use cases, but if you plug in the HDR device first - on many laptops, iPad Pros, etc. the raw image generally looks broken in The middle of the fog. I spent a few minutes tweaking the brightness/contrast/black levels etc., then went back and looked for more settings and made sure I had HDR on display turned off and on on my device. I switched it to "Auto" and never had to touch it again, so I'm a little surprised it's off by default, but I imagine some older hardware may have messed it up as well. It's not an issue with the screen, but that doesn't reflect on some users like me because I do a lot of HDR content at work.

- Thinkpad X1 (current generation, via direct USB C)
It works perfectly on all screens (Auto HDR!), and while it's clearly not a high-end gaming or art monitor, it feels completely risk-free and looks good, even when next to a Retina or AMOLED screen. That's big news for an LCD, and it's more affordable.
There are two downsides: The silver reflective frame, while very thin and sleek, can be a bit distracting in direct sunlight. The Smart Cover is a bit flimsy and the magnets aren't very strong, but it gets the job done. Embarrassingly, I had to read the manual to discover that it doesn't fold quite like iPad or Galaxy cases. Yes. I read the soft woven plastic rectangle manual.
