I've tried 5 different portable monitors and this one is by far the best. With an aspect ratio of 16:10 and 2560 x 1600 pixels, the screen is very bright and clear. The 16:10 aspect ratio is essential for mobile productivity and puts it ahead of many other 16:9 screens in this price range.
I've tried three 16:9 monitors and two 16:10 monitors - all about the same price, $150-$180. Screens with an aspect ratio of 16:9 are good, but once you place them next to 16:10 screens, screens with an aspect ratio of 16:10 are clearly better due to the increased vertical distance and narrow bezels. Two 16:9 displays at 1080p and one at 1440p, with a 1440p display being the best. One of the 1080p displays is "QLED" with a wide DCI-p3 color space. I suspect this is why they cost about the same as 1600p monitors, but DCI-P3 is not required for my use. While the screen looks good, it's only marginally better.
For a 16:10 screen they're both 2560 x 1600 (or 1600p), you don't have to go for 1440p for the same price. The size of 1600p screens is better than the 1080p screens on the Macbook Pro M1 and they have more headroom than 1440p. All screen characteristics are the same. Another 1600p monitor bonus: 120Hz .. 60Hz .. Requiring a 120Hz monitor to be constantly plugged into the wall for maximum brightness reduces the portability of the monitor. This device can only be connected to your computer and does not require an electrical outlet for full use.
What occurred to me was that it was the only monitor with an adjustable aspect ratio. With 16:9 screens you don't have to worry, but with 16:10 screens you don't have to worry because if you send them 16:9 images (such as Nintendo Switch, Xbox or PS5) they will be converted by a stretched 16:10 screen. This is not the case. This will automatically adjust the aspect ratio. Another screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio that doesn't switch and just switches between 16:10 and 4:3, as if 4:3 isn't relevant anymore. Super supervision on this screen.
Overall, the only downside to this monitor is that I wish it was 120Hz like other 1600p monitors. If it's 120Hz, it's the perfect portable monitor at this price point. Otherwise, an adjustable aspect ratio that is fully usable without a wall jack is preferred.
