Review Dell G2422HS Full HD 165Hz Gaming Monitor

Dell 24" 165Hz Gaming Monitor - 1920 x 1080 FHD Display, 1ms Response Time, IPS, AMD FreeSync Technology, 99% sRGB Color Gamut, NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible, HDMI, DisplayPort, Black - G2422HS

The post-coronavirus world is in trouble. Products are flawed, people are desperate to sell something, and the quality curve goes down with everything. Having said that, let's dig a little deeper.

I know it's my responsibility to order them during monsoon season in California, when Dell's regular coolers get damp and don't usually look good. I have a rare old white 32 inch Dell IPS monitor that sold for $150 a few years ago. Stylish screen. It even switches devices automatically. Cables can be easily disassembled and replaced in a second or two, and there are no frills. The controls are Qube's Rubiq for navigation.

This Dell monitor, like Samsung's 32-inch 4K monitor, is a nightmare trying to replace HDMI, DP, and other cables. Everyone who designs computers, monitors, and names things, and blind people from other countries. OH MY GOD A flashlight, headlight, mirror, and 3,000-lumen beam pre-assembled onto the device desperately trying to shove it into a black hole before you fell into it? I urge everyone to cable before the end to install or replace the calendar year. I don't think I'm the only one complaining here.

Couple of goodies, $100 off $350 (why? Keep your eyes peeled), great picture quality, none of the off-the-shelf tweaks others have mentioned, speakerphone is perfect and easy to connect, some USB type comes top with access from bottom For a few adjustments, the power button is backlit and easy to activate, and the base is heavy, which makes the screen fairly stable and solid, not wobbly like Samsung's 32-inch. Dell's 2560 x 1440 display, Windows 11 fonts, aspect ratio, and graphics are easier to read than the smaller Samsung 4K. Windows XP and 7 were a dream to change the look of everything or make it readable in one place. As phones got smarter, Windows got dumber, less fun, and more cumbersome.

In the end, IMHO, that's why the price dropped $100. Unlike some other products I own, Dell doesn't allow you to adjust the screen's physical orientation. The screen can only move horizontally and vertically, cannot move horizontal to vertical. why does it matter? The screen is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch from the flat surface! I've never seen this before. You can't put it horizontally. After much deliberation, loosen and tighten, mix up, no use, I'm good at fixing it. How do I fix this I'm temporarily putting an extra foot on the right side to reduce the load on that side. The rubber foot slider on the left can also work. Well, more questions. I have decided to keep it and not return it. Welcome to Amazon. At $350, it's still a steal.
