Arzopa Portable Monitor, 15.6 Inch 100% sRGB FHD 1080P Portable Monitor with USB C HDMI Eye Protection IPS Monitor with Smart Cover for Laptop Mac PC PS4/5 Xbox Switch-A1C
I really want to keep it and bring it back someday because the 4K KYY K3-3 has a better picture. But it's a tough call. very Difficult. It's a great screen for the price. If it weren't for a smoother image, I would definitely keep it. This does not mean that the picture is bad. never! It is really a very beautiful picture. But since I only need a portable monitor and can watch for hours, I went with the best 4K quality. This is what I expected. The K3-3 has a higher pixel density. The K3-3 is a 15-inch HD screen, while the Arzopa screen is larger at 16-inch and has a lower resolution and therefore significantly lower pixel density.
But it's hard to tell the difference from the photos that say so much about Arzopa. The color is great. When I went into settings to change the color profile, I was able to match it to my iMac! This is a big problem for me. Incredible brightness. It's probably brighter than any portable monitor I've tested, even KYY 4K. Colors and images stay true even in reflected light and nothing looks washed out. This is another big reason why I want to keep this monitor. I also like that it's a 16-inch screen. The slightly larger screen isn't huge, but it's a nice added value that definitely sets it apart from the competition. It also has thinner bezels than many competitors, which is great! The menu buttons are of a higher quality than the competition, but navigating the menus without looking at the buttons can be a little confusing. I definitely won't use it.
As with other monitors I've reviewed, the only problem I had with the KYY was using mini HDMI. It's kind of a bad driver and I don't see any reason to use an Arzopa mini instead of a standard mini. Not only do users need a dedicated cable (or just an adapter so they can use a standard HDMI cable anywhere), but the mini connector is less stable than a standard HDMI connector. Stop using HDMI mini. to stop.
I didn't test the speakers because it wasn't my priority when buying a monitor. But I bet they are not that good. However, it's hard to say anything negative about this tiny amplifier that isn't a selling point. On the rare occasions that I need it, I'm happy to have it.
Another issue I have with it (not enough to knock out the stars as it's a fairly common screen issue) is that the connector ports are on the side of the screen. I know some people feel the need for the screen to be flat on both sides, but I find this annoying. Not only does this limit the distance you can connect the monitor to your computer or other display device on the connector side, but it also makes the monitor wider and more likely to not fit somewhere or get knocked somewhere. Also, the fact that the connector protrudes directly from the side makes the connector and connector terminal more susceptible to damage. When you have such a slim design, the cables coming straight out the side really ruin that flow. It would be better to put the ports on the rear bumps or at least provide an adapter that wraps around the rear ports so we can route cables through them.
However, I'm happy to say that it's still a great product and definitely worth buying, especially if you can't see a difference between 2K and 4K screens or the $100 difference in 4K isn't worth it.
