Portable Monitor | Acer PM161Q Abmiuuzx 15.6" Full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS | Slim Design | Luxury Housing I External Monitor for Mac I Laptop 2 x USB 3.1 Type-C, 1 x Mini HDMI and 1 x Micro USB
Unfortunately, it didn't work as expected, and while it's an essential feature screen (one would expect it to be compatible with many devices), it's a bit disappointing on mid-range devices (it seems designed for use with the Huawei P30 to be designed and high-end devices such as the P 40, OnePlus 8, OnePlus 9, Samsung Galaxy S20, S21, Galaxy Tab S7, S7+, and USB Type-C 3.1 or Thunderbolt 3 devices that support multiple communication protocols, I recommend checking the GSM SMART page for your device's connection specifications mobile), brightness is low even for media content (220 nits), but it's very solidly built and great for general use (I need PDFs in particular for my online league to sue). I repeat, remember that your device must support DP-Alt (Display Port Alternate Mode) over USB Type-C, I tested it with a Huawei P30 and it works fine, I'm looking for it almost incompatible with Xiaomi smartphones, because unfortunately this device does not have On USB Type C 3.1, though my laptop has good specs (6 Cores Intel Core i7+ 8750h, 16GB DDR4 2666MHz, NVIDIA GTX 1050 ti 4GB DDR5 Graphics Card, Corsair MP510 Series 960GB NVMe m.2 SSD + 1TB SATA 2.5 "HDD Toshiba), since many laptops and monitors are completely identical visually / aesthetically, this was unfortunately one of the reasons for my purchase, unfortunately the motherboard of my laptop does not support video data transmission, that is, the USB port of Type C does not provide one Display Port, unlike the Acer Spin 5, if you have a USB Type-C 3.1 DP in ALT internal control panel mode, this discrete and exclusive cable does not support the video data transmission format, the format is USB Type-C 3.1 to USB Type-C 3.1.
Unfortunately, I really want this screen and am already thinking of keeping it with the intention that in a few months I will have an Android device compatible with USB Type C 3.1 and DP alt mode but if I evaluate play multimedia based content, such as Youtube and Netflix. I was disappointed with the brightness, as well as the color performance and uniformity, given the differences between the screens of the Huawei P30 (the one I tested it on) and mine. Not enough for basic needs (I'm not a picky eater) This screen is terrible, although the viewing angles are excellent because it's a screen IPS (wide viewing angle). All in all, it's a versatile and useful office device that I highly recommend for general use.
I highly recommend the seller "New Zone Technology", they have excellent customer service, they even gave me technical support, the package was packed perfectly and arrived on time via DHL package (shipping cost me $86.35m, but it was the cheapest purchase (total of 3 options, $286.35 million) Too bad I'm returning the product, objectively, it's primarily my fault for not doing enough research, and immediately Acer's fault for not at least clearly listing compatible mobile devices with this screen.
