iPhone battery saving tips after iOS 16.4 update

A few days ago, Apple started releasing iOS 16.4 for iPhone users, and the release includes a variety of improvements and security updates, as well as new features, including: soundproof calls, 31 new emoji, and more. But after every iOS update, some iPhone users complained about rapid battery drain, while others found that their battery life improved.

If your iPhone battery is low after iOS 16.4 update, here are some tips to help you fix the problem:

1- Wait for some time:

It is normal for your battery to drain after installing a new iOS update because your iPhone has to multitask after the update. This will use more power than usual, but once all the additional tasks are done, your battery life will return to normal.

2- Update the application:

The problem may not be with iOS but having an issue with a specific app after updating iOS and then updating that app again can solve the problem. So it is better to update all the apps installed on the phone after updating the operating system. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open the App Store app and tap your profile picture in the top right.
  2. Scroll down to the list of apps installed on your phone.
  3. Next to the apps for which new updates are available, you will find an Update button.
  4. Click on it to update the application.

3- Check the effect of the applications on battery life:

If you were having battery drain issues right before the update and the problem persists even after installing iOS 16.4 and updating all apps, there is a chance that an app is draining your battery. You can follow the steps below to solve the problem:

  1. Go to the Settings app and select Battery.
  2. You will see a page with a lot of data and an option for battery usage by app. Tap it to go to (Activity by App), which shows a breakdown of how much power each app uses when it's running and when it's in the background.

You can use this information to identify battery-hungry apps, i.e. h. Apps that use more power in the background than they are running.

4- Check the condition of the battery:

If you do not replace your phone battery for 4 years or more, the maximum capacity of the battery can be greatly reduced, which leads to rapid battery drain.

You can check it by following these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app and select Battery.
  2. Click on the Battery health and charging option and check the maximum battery capacity.

If it's less than 80%, then it's likely that the battery is draining fast and not the new iOS 16.4 update.

5- Wait for the next iOS update:

If there is no problem with the battery or the app, but the battery is low after installing a new update, the only thing you can do is wait for Apple to release a new update one day to fix the problem. Apple improves each update to include fixes for issues encountered in the previous update.
