In March, Microsoft launched a new version of the Bing search engine. This includes a chatbot (Bing Chat), which, due to its functionality, works in a large language model (GPT-4), and not all users need to be registered in the queue.
It also includes an artificial intelligence (DALL-E) model that generates images based on text messages in the new Bing search engine and Edge browser.
Microsoft has introduced the Bing Image Creator feature for users of the new Bing engine, both in the desktop version and in mobile apps for the Android and iOS operating systems.
To use the new Bing engine on your phone:
The first step you need to go through when you have the Bing app installed on your phone; Update the app to the latest available version. If the app is not installed on your phone, you can download it to your Android device from the Google Play Store. Download the app to your iPhone from the App Store.
The second step is that you need a Microsoft account to use the Bing chatbot.
After installing the Bing app on your phone, you can follow the steps below to use the chatbot and use the Bing Image Creator feature:
- Go to the Bing app on your phone.
- Click on the (Bing Chat) icon at the bottom of the screen and you will be asked to sign in with your Microsoft account. Enter your account information.
- You will see 3 Bing chat modes: 1st: (more creative), 2nd: (more refined), and 3rd: (more balanced). You can switch between them to get different answers.
- You'll find that the default setting for Bing chatbot is a second, more balanced mode, which Microsoft says strikes a balance between accuracy and creativity.
- At the bottom of the screen you will find the chat bar; Where you can write your questions and to the right of the chat area you will find a microphone icon where you can ask questions in your own voice.
- The response includes a detailed explanation of your request and a link you can click to get more information.

Bing's Image Creator feature allows you to create the image you want based on text prompts. All you have to do is write a text description of the image you want. You can also include specific details such as themes, location, or an art style such as digital art or photorealistic art.
- Open the Bing app on your phone.
- Click the application icon at the bottom of the screen.
- At the top of the screen you will find a chat box where you can write a description of the photo you want.
- Enter a description for the image you want, then click the "Create" button.
- In a matter of seconds, the photo creator creates four images, each 1024 x 1024 pixels in size.
- Upload one of four photos; Click on the image you want and you will find the share option where you can copy the link of the image and share it via any application. Then tap the menu icon with three horizontal dots and tap Download image on your phone.
