How to use Bing Chat with your Android phone's keyboard

Microsoft wants to integrate chatbots (Bing Chat) into almost all of its products. Since its partnership with OpenAI, a chatbot developer (ChatGPT), it has announced the integration of chatbots into every new product. The most recent of these products has been the Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard for Android and iOS for a few days.

First, how to install and configure Microsoft SwiftKey on your Android phone:

To get started, you must first install the experimental keyboard app (Microsoft SwiftKey) from Google Play.

Note: As of April 2023, Bing Bot is only available in the beta version of the keyboard app (SwiftKey).

Once the installation process is complete, open the SwiftKey app to start the installation process:

  • After opening the (SwiftKey) application, you will see three options: (Enable SwiftKey), (Select SwiftKey), and (Done).
  • Click on the first option (Enable SwiftKey).
  • Enable the option (Microsoft SwiftKey Beta Keyboard) by clicking on the Shift key next to it and then pressing the OK button.
  • Next, click on the second option (Select SwiftKey) and then select (Microsoft SwiftKey Beta Keyboard).
  • Click on the third option (Finish) to go to the login page where you need to sign in with a Microsoft account to access the chatbot (Bing Chat) using the keyboard.

  • After signing in with your Microsoft account, the (Bing Chatbot) icon will appear in the upper left corner of the keyboard.

To access the chatbot (Bing Chat), click on the Bing icon that appears next to the (GIF) icon in the upper left corner of the keyboard. Above the keyboard, you'll see three options:

  • Search: This is the default option that allows you to quickly search the web from your keyboard without opening Edge. You can perform text and image searches by toggling between the magnifying glass and the bottom image icon.
  • Chat: This option allows you to ask any question or request to the bot using the keyboard just as you would when using the bot in the Edge browser. You can select chat mode and then use the microphone to type or submit your request. You can also copy any reply from the conversation and use it wherever you want. To repeat the answer, tap the double rectangle icon to repeat the answer.
  • Mood Style: Allows you to rework your text in different styles to suit any situation. You can use this option when writing a formal email or learning a new language, and if you're happy with the style, tap Accept to paste it automatically, or copy and paste it into another app on Google Play.
