How to transfer contacts from Android phone to iPhone

If you plan to use iPhone instead of Android, the most important thing you need to know is how to transfer all your files and contacts to iPhone without losing anything. There are a number of ways to do this, but here are three simple ways to help you transfer your contacts to your new iPhone when you set it up for the first time or after setup is complete:

1- Move contacts via the Move to iOS app:

Apple has released the Move to iOS app to make it easy to transfer files from Android phone to iPhone and it's available for free on the Google Play Store. To use it, install it on your Android phone, then follow these steps when setting up your new iPhone:

  1. Open the Move to iOS app, then agree to the terms of service and allow the app to access your phone's location.
  2. You will then be prompted to find your passcode (Find your passcode), tap Next and on your iPhone follow the steps on the Setup Wizard pages that appear during iPhone setup until you get to the (Android Data Transfer) Transfer data from the Android page.
  3. A six or ten digit code will appear on the iPhone screen, and it must be entered on the Android phone. After that, the data transfer screen will appear with a list of items that can be copied to the iPhone.
  4. Select the contacts and other files or data that you want to copy to your iPhone.
  5. During the transfer process, keep your Android phone and iPhone together. Depending on the number of files to be copied, this process can take up to 30 minutes.

You can use the Move to iOS app from the Setup Assistant page that appears when you turn on your new iPhone for the first time. However, if you have already set up your phone and want to transfer your contacts, follow the steps in this article. Other methods are called.

2- Transfer contacts via a SIM card:

If your new iPhone supports a SIM card instead of an eSIM, you can import all contacts stored on the card directly from your phone's settings. To do this, proceed as follows:

1- Follow the steps below to transfer all contacts from your Android phone to the SIM card:

  • Open the Contacts app.
  • Click the three-dot menu button and choose Manage Contacts.
  • Click Options (Import or Export Contacts) to import or export contacts, then select (Export).

2- After the contacts transfer process is complete, move the SIM card from your Android phone to the new iPhone.

3- Open the Settings app on your iPhone and scroll down until you find the Contacts option and tap on it.

4- Click on the "Import SIM Contacts" option and the process of transferring contacts to iPhone will begin which may take a few minutes.

3- Transfer contacts via Google account:

You can transfer contacts from Android to iPhone using your Google account by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Settings app on your Android phone and find the Google tab.
  2. Click on the “Backup” option and make sure that the “Contacts” option is selected.
  3. Once the backup is complete, open the Settings app on your iPhone and select Mail & Accounts.
  4. Click on the Add Account option and enter your Google account details.
  5. The process of importing contacts to iPhone will start automatically.
