Today marks the end of the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023), which is one of the largest technology events that takes place every year in the Spanish city of Barcelona, where the most important companies and telecom operators in the smartphone industry present everything that is new to them.
During the year, phone manufacturers showed many new and distinctive innovations in smartphones, starting with the development of foldable phones, the emergence of new technologies for foldable phones (folding screens), technologies that allow phones to communicate with technology, and so on. You can use your own repair smart phone at home.
The following are the most prominent smartphones that were announced at the MWC 2023 conference:
1- Xiaomi 13 phones:
During his participation in the MWC 2023 conference; Two months after its launch in China, Xiaomi has created its line of phones (Xiaomi 13).
The series includes 3 phones, namely:
- Xiaomi 13 Lite phone: 6.55-inch AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a density of 402 pixels / inch, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and supports Dolby Vision and (HDR10 +) technology.
- Xiaomi 13: 6.36-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 414 pixels per inch, and supports the same refresh rate and screen technology as the previous generation.
- Xiaomi 13 Pro mobile: The largest phone in the series, with a screen size of 6.73 inches, with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, and a density of 522 pixels per inch, and it supports the same refresh rate and screen technology.
2- Honor Magic Vs phone:
Honor also launched its foldable phone globally (Honor Magic Vs), which users have been waiting for since the company launched the phone for the first time in China in November 2022.
The Honor foldable phone is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, but the phone (Honor Magic Vs) has a very light magnesium alloy frame and a larger screen than the Samsung phone.
The phone comes with a foldable screen. The main screen is a 7.9-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1984 x 2272 pixels when the device is open and a 6.45-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2560 pixels when the device is folded.
The phone is equipped with a (Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1) processor and comes with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage.
The phone has a three-lens rear camera. Primary: 54MP wide-angle lens with Sony IMX800 sensor, second: 50MP wide-angle lens and third: 8MP telephoto lens. It includes a 16MP front camera.
3- Motorola RIZR phone:
Motorola, during its participation in the MWC 2023 conference, presented a new concept for smartphone screens and presented a prototype for a new phone called (Motorola RIZR), where pressing a button twice in a specific place causes the screen to enlarge vertically to the right, but it did not say when it will be available.
This phone comes with a 5-inch screen that can be expanded to a maximum of 6.5 inches. Simply double tap the phone's side button and the screen gently stretches to make more room for screen content. At the same time, it can be moved down to show the front camera.
This model is Motorola's first attempt to build on foldable phone technology after years of developing the RAZR line of foldable phones.
4- OnePlus 11 Concept:
Known for its innovations in smartphone cooling technology, OnePlus introduced a new concept of smartphone cooling at the MWC 2023 conference, when OnePlus unveiled its new flagship, the OnePlus 11 5G, whose internal parts are designed to reduce heat and optimize performance to improve performance.
OnePlus christened its new cooling system Active CryoFlux and relies on a tiny piezoelectric ceramic pump to force coolant through a series of small tubes. The pump takes up less than 0.2 square inches of space and can circulate liquid through the case without over-draining the battery.
In terms of actual system results, OnePlus says that in lab tests, CryoFlux can reduce the phone's overall temperature by 2.1°C while gaming, which translates to a 3-4 fps increase. Not much of course, but the idea itself is great and scalable. Active CryoFlux technology is also able to cool the phone by 1.6°C while charging, which reduces the total charging time by about 30-45 seconds.
5- Realme GT3 phone:
As part of its participation in this year’s conference (MWC 2023), the Chinese company Realme announced its new phone (Realme GT3), which provides the fastest charging speed ever for a smartphone.
The phone supports 240W super fast charging, which Realme claims can fully charge a 4,600mAh battery in less than 10 minutes.
The (Realme GT3) phone is the global version of the (Realme GT Neo 5) phone, which the company launched in China a few weeks ago.
The Realme GT3 has a small area on the back that lights up in dozens of different customizable colors to notify the user when the battery is low, alerts for incoming calls, and also as a countdown timer for taking photos.
This phone uses a 6.74 inch screen that is powered by Qualcomm processor (Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1) and offers three storage options 8GB, 12GB, 16GB and four storage options. 128, 256, 512 GB, or 1 TB.
6- Nokia G22 mobile phone:
In many ways, the Nokia G22 is nothing special, it is a phone with a plastic design, modest specifications, and it costs only $ 180, but the biggest difference is that you can fix it yourself.
Nokia has partnered with iFixit, a company that specializes in repairing mobile phones and smart devices, to implement advanced manufacturing mechanisms that make it easier for users to repair their phones themselves.
The launch of the new phone is based on the hype that it is easy to swap parts in minutes, so replacing the non-removable battery takes only 5 minutes, as evidenced by the company's product manager (Adam Ferguson) during his speech at MWC 2023 - a conference in the company's press conference when the process is completed the whole.
Although the screen replacement takes about 20 minutes, all interchangeable phone parts can be purchased through the iFixit store.
(Nokia G22) includes a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, with a protective layer (Gorilla Glass 3) that supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
The phone is powered by an Octa-core Unisoc T606 processor which is paired with 4GB of RAM and comes with a choice of 64GB or 128GB internal storage. It has a triple-lens rear camera with a 50-megapixel main camera, a second 2-megapixel depth capture camera, and a third with the same resolution for telephoto shots.
