There was a problem during the initial setup, causing the installation to take a long time. I emailed the technical support team at WavLink and they responded the next day. The problem is solved, I think the problem is abnormal. My plan is to install it in repeat mode. So it connects to the existing Google Lock network via WiFi. Mesh works fine when all devices are about 40 feet apart, but I want to extend my WiFi so it can be used when I'm working outside in the yard. With the repeater on, I set it up and plugged it into an outlet in the unfinished attic above the garage. I kept the default SSID repeater name and added "_EXT" to the existing one. Then I go out and walk through different areas of the yard and monitor the WiFi signal strength. In the case of repeaters, I add about 20 feet of extra range to my WiFi. So you have to decide if the amount of improvement is commensurate with the price.
