The RE315 WiFi Extender provides two bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz) to transmit WiFi signals, doubling the performance of each band. Connect more devices at the same time with two bands of 300 Mbps on 2.4GHz and 867 Mbps on 5GHz. Use the 2.4GHz band for email and web browsing and the 5GHz band for gaming and HD streaming. With TP-Link Mesh technology, it's easy to set up a mesh network with a single WiFi name to seamlessly cover your entire home.
Strong dual band WiFi up to 1200Mb/s
The RE315 WiFi supports 802.11ac, which is three times faster than 802.11n and delivers blazing-fast speeds of up to 1200Mbps for tasks like 4K streaming, online gaming, and more. [1] With adaptive route selection, the RE315 automatically chooses the most efficient route to communicate with your router.
Built-in access point mode
The RE315 is more than just an outdoor wireless range finder. With the built-in Access Point Mode, simply plug an Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port and easily convert any wired connection into a high-speed dual-band MIMO 2x2 WiFi signal.
Always look for the best place
The smart signal indicator helps you find the best location for the RE315 to get the best signal strength from your existing router and extend your WiFi coverage.

I bought this to replace a cheap wifi extender that I bought based on good reviews. CUU Brand 2022 Newest 4000 Square Feet WiFi Extender Repeater - blah blah blah. It costs more than $2, is about the size of a pack of cigarettes, is single-band (2.4g), and is rated at just 300Mbps. It's wrong. The only job the extender has to do is amplify the signal to the Fire Stick that's connected to the old TV you brought into the garage. I work for a service company, so we pull out old converted airplane trailers and in the morning we sit in them waiting for our work to be completed or scheduled by the end of the day - so we want to be able to see the news and everything but the stops. The router is about 70 feet away, but our driveway is segmented so the WiFi signal has to go through the concrete wall. Without the extender, the TV will keep turning on, the signal will drop, or the picture quality will be poor. If it keeps crashing every few minutes, we can't see anything. So I'm not technical - I bought (what I think) a really cheap expander and I know it's all good enough. The difference in build quality and performance (so far) between my first purchase and this model is huge — that's $2 cheaper. The first is the dual band, along with the 2.4g and 5g bands. 1200Mbps (as far as I know) is a common signal capacity, but you won't really get it because you have to select a network signal. This actually gives you two different WiFi networks to connect to (maybe this works for some, I don't know). I know enough to understand 5G better. I installed it via the Tether Tether TP app (I think that's what it's called) and it was painless even for someone like me. Once you start the app, the instructions are very clear and concise. All you need is your router's password and, of course, the WiFi signal name. Once installed and connected, you can choose from two additional Wi-Fi signals. One says ext at the end and the other says ext 5g or something. I chose 5G to connect my phone and Firestick. Installing his Firestick is just as easy. The advantage of the app is that you can even control who is connected and what is connected in the repeater network. It shows you the number of devices connected to each band (represented by two different WiFi signals), the types of devices connected, and if unwanted devices are connected to your WiFi signal, you can block them. Last but not least, it would be fun to play with the other 20 people I work with - if they knew what to call it LOL. I can literally sit with my phones and seem to switch their connection on and off. But yeah, what you get with this (branded device as far as I can tell) is a leap over what you just repurchased and it's basically the same price. I plugged it in today, so that's the start - but so far the Firestick works fine with 4K TVs. The image quality is very good, the upload speed is not too slow and the most important thing is that Firestick has no buffering mode or bookmarking mode at all. Keep in mind - the signal extender is behind two concrete block walls with metal doors - so it's probably a bit more than you'll have to handle at home. If it starts causing me problems, I will report it. I am so far happy with this latest purchase. I'm glad I didn't give up and kept my first purchase. All fake product reviews are harsh these days - I promise this is a completely honest review with no BS reviews.
Not that I've tried them all, but they do give you 3 different options to connect them to your router. I recommend scanning the QR code in the instructions to download and install the app this way. Last but not least, it's great to see who and what your new sign is connected to.
