First, let me say I almost made it before I even opened the box. The box is full of Chinese characters and there is no English word on the box. I thought maybe the wrong device was sent to me. I finished my bet and opened it. Yes, the instructions are in Chinese too. I laughed at this point because I was pretty sure the serial number was what I asked for and nothing else. It is definitely the right product. How do you insist? Let's find out!
I'm tech savvy so it's easy to explain even though everything is in Chinese. The installation is easy. Connect the modem and power adapter to the ethernet! I go to the game Luckily I know the router has an app to control it on my phone since it's in English it was easier to set up. After creating an account, the process is simple. It will guide you step by step to setup 5g and 2.4g network. I think it took me less than 5 minutes to do this.
I currently have 9 devices installed on it. They play everything from PC to Smart TV to Xbox. This router is not a sloop. All nine units operate simultaneously without malfunction. (I should mention that my internet is 400 down and 100 up). Signal strength is excellent. I currently live in a 1,400 square foot house with full railings in every room I stand in from top to bottom. I was missing some threads that came out, but I was expecting that too. Anyway, two thumbs up here.
The ease of use of the app is really great. My wife is not smart at all. I showed her the app and the simple commands to organize the kids online and she loved it. Even if you are not good with computers or routers, this one has you covered. Want to limit the amount of data a specific device uses? Easy to install. Do you want to completely disable services for a specific device? It is very easy to do with the push of a button. This is by far the easiest router I've ever used.
So this one has a recommendation? just buy? It depends, do you want to connect multiple devices to it using Ethernet cables instead of wirelessly? So you may be disappointed. You have two outlets...
