I wish I could rate this 4.5 stars. I decided to deduct a star because I found that when trying to follow the instructions to install the printer driver on Windows, the printed instructions differed from the driver that came with the printer and the driver on the USB drive. These instructions will give you a general idea that you need to run the driver installation and then in the Printing Preferences dialog (the common interface for all printers on Windows) there is a tab that you use to set the brightness, contrast and what kind of original impression can be. Well, after making some adjustments, I decided to put the source on an image and then reduce the brightness by 10 and increase the contrast by 10 as well. Once I did that, the print quality worked for me.
I've used it to print QR codes for several things that I've personally brought to Amazon. In about a week I won't have to print shipping labels anymore. But I can tell from the quality of the QR code that everything will be fine. Note that I'm an experienced computer person, so I didn't bother with other programs/guides on the USB. It comes with two user manuals and something called "Clabel Trade Setup.exe" which is probably some kind of application you can use to help you set up what you want to print. I took the approach of using the Windows crop tool to get what I wanted to print and then paste it into Kofax Power PDF, which is a very basic document editor. I know that it allows me to select 4x6 paper, set narrow margins, and then paste. Enter the QR code as a graphic and print it. It was my decision and it worked because I already knew how to operate the app and I was in a rush.
Best of all, it's a decent printer and you're not limited to using just one app for printing labels. This is not a bad thing because you can use what you already know and try out their apps. A +
