Microsoft announced on Monday that it has integrated the core technology of its popular chatbot (ChatGPT) into its Power Platform, allowing users to develop applications with few or no lines of code.
The incorporation of AI technology into the Power Platform is the latest offering from the software company that is striving to take advantage of the revolutionary technology developed by OpenAI.
Big tech companies like Alphabet in the US (Google's parent company) and Baidu in China are accelerating the integration of generative AI, a technology popular for its ability to generate human-like text responses to queries, into their products.
Today Microsoft posted on its blog that the new AI capabilities will be integrated into a number of application development and business analytics tools (Power Platform), such as for example: Power Virtual Agent and AI Builder.
Power Virtual Agent, which companies can use to create chatbots, can now connect to internal company resources to generate weekly reports and summaries of customer inquiries.
Microsoft is also extending AI Builder and the Dynamics 365 business management platform with generative AI capabilities that enable companies to automate workflows.
It is reported that this feature will only be available in the United States at the present time.
Today's announcement by Microsoft comes just days after it announced plans to bring its search engine smart chatbot (the new Bing) to Windows 11, among many other features.
The American tech giant announced a new version of Bing along with a new version of its AI-powered Edge web browser at an event on February 7, and launched it to a wide range of users.
The company had previously announced that many of its products such as b. Its own Office app to add artificial intelligence after adding it to the Teams video conferencing service.
After embedding AI in systems like Bing and Windows 11 and announcing a $10 billion multi-year investment in OpenAI, AI will be at the heart of many of the company's products going forward.
