Slack is one of the most popular communication applications used by companies for real-time communication between employees or with other companies. This app includes text, voice, and video calls. It has more than 18 million daily active users and is used by more than 156,000 companies worldwide.
On Tuesday, Salesforce announced a partnership with OpenAI to bring advanced AI chatGPT technology to its Slack messaging app, bringing new features that help increase productivity by continuing to work with the new version of Slack Acceleration.
Here are the main features being added to Slack and how to get started in the new version of the app:
What new features will Slack offer?
The ChatGPT feature built into Slack will help improve the way users communicate with each other and save time when multitasking.
Functions are provided to speed up writing and reading messages. Slack users can use ChatGPT's popular writing feature to compose different messages in seconds.
Users will also be able to quickly access their recent conversations via AI-generated custom summaries. Channels and Discussions provide summaries to keep you updated on business developments.
On the other hand, the application will have built-in search tools that will allow users to access the search function provided in ChatGPT to make it easier to write messages without leaving the application or using a search engine.
How do I access Slack's new ChatGPT feature?
The new feature is currently in beta testing and is not available to users yet, but it will be available to Slack users in the near future. However, OpenAI does offer ChatGPT for the Slack queue, and you can sign up to request access to the beta.
Salesforce doesn't just work with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT functionality into communication applications. Last month, Microsoft announced a similar move as it supports AI-enabled business communications applications (Microsoft Teams) and provides the ability to write meeting summaries and automatically comment on recordings.
