YouTube has launched shared live broadcasting for mobile phones |
On Thursday, YouTube announced a new "Go Live Together" feature that allows users to invite guests to a live broadcast.
YouTube, which began testing the group live broadcast feature last November, announced in a tweet yesterday that the feature will be available as a new way for anyone to easily start a joint live broadcast and invite guests via the invitation phone.
The company said creators must have more than 50 subscribers to host a syndicated show, but anyone can be invited.
Eligible Creators can invite guests to broadcast with them. When you are broadcasting live from your smartphone, the direct message appears at the top of the visitor's screen. You can also host live broadcasts with guests on their computers via the Live Control Room, and then go live from mobile phones or start live broadcasts directly from mobile phones.
In its latest tweet, YouTube said it is currently considering adding desktop support for the feature and will provide an update sometime in the future.
The company also clarified that multiple guests can be hosted in a live broadcast, but only one guest can appear on the broadcast at a time.
To access the Live Share feature, you need to open the YouTube app on your phone, tap the Create icon at the bottom of the screen, and select Live Share. Then enter offer details including title, description, monetization settings, thumbnail/view level settings and click Finish.
On the Invite Co-Authors page, click on the Invite Guest option, then copy the link and send it in a message to the guest. Then the guest clicks on the link to go to the waiting room, then you will see a notification that he has entered. Click Add and then Live to start it.
It's worth noting that other services offered shared live streaming long before YouTube, such as photo and video-sharing service Instagram and YouTube's biggest competitor: TikTok. Except for the social network Facebook.
