- On the taskbar, click the View Task button. It looks like a rectangle layered on top of one another, usually between the search bar icon and the team icon. You can also use a key combination by pressing both keys (Windows and TAB) at the same time.
- Click the New Desktop button at the top of the screen.
- Your computer's current desktop is set (Desktop 1). Click on the tile on the right (Desktop 2), here you can switch to the Windows 11 desktop which does not contain any applications, and from there you can perform some applications that are executed on the desktop.
- If you click the task view icon again, and then on desktop 1, you're back to your original desktop and all the apps you had, are still there.
2- Snap layout function to organize quick open apps:
The functionality (SNAP Layouts) is one of the functions that Windows 11 users really like because it makes it easy to set up and adjust any number of tasks on a shared screen. So Microsoft has been working on bringing AI to the screen for some time. Smart technology is integrated to improve it.
Snap Layout functionality is a great way to increase productivity by configuring several application windows on a single screen. Choose from a variety of formats and sizes to get the best out of your favorite applications when working on a specific task.
To use the function (snap layouts), you can perform the following steps:
- Open any app you want to go to the new design and move your mouse pointer over the zoom icon in the top right corner of the app
- You'll see 4 options ranging from two to four windows open, or 6 if you have a larger screen.
- Click on the desired design, and if you want to move an application from one design to another, press the old and tab buttons for each open application and select the desired design.
To adapt the snap layouts to your liking, you can adapt them via the settings by following these steps:
- Go to Settings (Settings).
- Click on the multitasking option and then on the option (SNAP window) and you can see different options that you can activate or deactivate. For example, you can specify that the design window not be displayed if you hover your mouse over the zoom icon or over the application icon in the taskbar. You can layout other windows to automatically resize if you resize the window manually.

3- FancyZones feature:
The (Snap Layouts) function is perfect for organizing the apps open on your fast device, but it gives you a handful of preset layouts to choose from, while (Fancyzones) is the Pertoys tool that gives you more layouts and also enables you to design the layouts you want to separate the apps into.
To use it, you must first download (Microsoft PowerToys) from the Microsoft Store and install it on your device, then follow these steps:
- Open the PowerToys app and tap on the menu icon in the upper left corner, then select the (FancyZones) option and hit the toggle next to it to enable it.
- Click Options (Run Layout Editor) to launch the Layout Editor. You'll see a number of ready-to-use layouts that you can customize by clicking the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of the layout you want to edit.
- You can increase or decrease the number of regions, control the size of each region, and increase or decrease the padding around each region, giving you complete control over how it appears on screen, among other things.
- You can also create a completely new layout by clicking on the "Create New Layout" option in the lower right corner.
