Samsung has announced its support for a new feature in many of its phones that will significantly improve gaming performance and increase battery life. The feature was exclusive to the new Galaxy S23 range, which was launched earlier this month, but Samsung has started, as it also offers older phones. .
The new feature is an option in the GameBooster app, available as a sub-menu in the Game Launcher app menu that comes pre-installed on Samsung devices. A new option called Suspend USB Power Delivery lets you suspend power to the phone's battery and send it directly to the processor to prevent the battery from overheating. This greatly improves game performance.
Users do not need to update their operating system to get this feature as the above options will automatically appear in the Game Booster app's options menu, located in a sub-application of the app (Game Launcher).
According to SamMobile, the feature will be gradually rolled out to users of the S22, Z Fold 2, Z Fold 3, and Z Fold 4 series phones, with more devices expected to be covered soon. In order to use this feature, you must be using the latest version of the Game Booster app available on the Samsung Play Store. To view this feature, the phone must be connected to a 45W fast charger.
It should be noted that many gaming phones such as ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro, Black Shark Game Phone 4 Pro, and Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro have already supported this feature, but this is the first time that Samsung phones have implemented this feature.
This feature not only improves gaming performance and protects the battery from wear and tear, but also saves battery power as the device is completely dependent on the phone charger for power, but only when playing games.
It is worth noting that Samsung released yesterday the One UI 5.1 interface update, which provides a variety of features and improvements.
