I ordered and returned an Amazon Fire tablet because I didn't like the ads on the lock screen and it wasn't really an Android device. So I ordered this, it looks good and it's great value for money. However, there are some things that don't excite me. I used to be able to control screen brightness by opening the tablet's main menu and adjusting the brightness. However, on this tablet, I had to go to Settings, then Display Settings, then Brightness in order to be able to adjust the brightness. It also didn't seem to adjust for the night, instead automatically adjusting to a specific time (unless I knew where to set it up). Also, I'm very careful not to be too harsh on my devices, so I don't usually use screen protectors. So I removed the piece that came with the unit and after about a week I noticed some small scratches on the glass. This surprised me because I don't have long nails and I don't use sharp objects on the screen. So I used the extra screen protector that came with the tablet, but even after thoroughly cleaning the screen and applying the new protector with a credit card wrapped in a lint-free cloth, I wasn't able to remove all of the blistered protector that appeared on the bottom of the screen when the protector was off. Otherwise it seems to work fine and do what I need it to do.
