I'm nervous about buying a computer from Amazon because of the terrible computer return policy. I usually buy direct from mfg or costco. Although this is my first touchscreen tablet, I installed it on Windows because I have an application written in Excel and I'm afraid I won't be able to complete it on my Android device. I decided to keep the foam bag that came with it as it seemed to provide good protection. The response has been excellent and the MS Office installation load time is very fast. The screen resolution looks fine to me, but I don't do graphics or render photos.
to caution. If I were the manufacturer, I would include a full instruction manual. This is something Dell and HP have added to their desktops and laptops (pdf) and it's been helpful. It comes with a little booklet called User's Guide, but I'll call that a disclaimer.
I also ordered a keyboard. The keyboard slipped out of my hand—little did I initially know I was dealing with something magnetically attached. But the touchpad works fine for me.
All in all, I got more than I paid for and more storage space than anyone could give. When that is fixed I'll come back and add something. Perhaps the low price is exactly the reason why they are trying to offer this device. But so far I love it. I can't say anything about battery life.
5/4/20 - So far I'm happy with my purchase. I don't have anything new to say about this machine. I want to be able to judge touch sensitivity. My desire was to have something very complicated. The Excel app I'm using allows me to write and deliver this speech myself. When I highlight something with the pen, the pressure of the pen takes longer than I want it to respond. Since I (Cancer) can't talk, speed is important. The (thin) keyboard is useful, but the quick response to touches can help, too.
But I have one thing for everyone who uses Microsoft Office. I'm trying to use MS Office in Windows tablet mode. What a waste! To me, Microsoft (which has nothing to do with this device) doesn't care about their product. I spent the first week using Excel in Windows Tablet mode. I give up. Imagine a robot phone that only allows Google apps to be displayed on the screen. Microsoft does that. I use a non-MS personal scheduling application. MS schedule mode refuses to show it. I've been trying to play for days and hours. Search the internet... nothing helps. Therefore, MS Windows scheduler mode is ignored. All you have to do is load the traditional Windows interface. The keyboard is slim and easily lays flat on the screen when not in use, and the keys are perfect.
