Quora launches an app that combines multiple chatbots into a single app

Question-and-answer-focused social network Quora has announced the open release of its new app Poe, which allows users to chat with different AI bots within a single interface.

The company first rolled out the app on a closed basis to a limited number of users last December, but it's available today to all users on the Apple App Store, assuming that a version for Android phones will be available within the next 12 months, according to the company. It started in a few months.

Quora says its app is currently based on three different bots, two of which are based on artificial intelligence models from developer ChatGPT OpenAI, and the third is based on an anthropic model that Google recently invested in. The company plans to add a whole squadron of robots in the coming period, while the idea behind introducing multiple robots is that each one is trained to perform a different task and awarded a different set of points. The user makes the choice based on the source from which he extracts the information. Get answers from different perspectives on a larger scale.

In the future, Quora would like to integrate the answers provided by Poe into its original service, so that users can get answers to their questions using artificial intelligence, in addition to the answers completed by the user of the site. She added that Poe developed and tested well, and made sure that it starts giving accurate and sufficient answers that can be viewed through human responses, until then the service will remain a stand-alone application.

The company plans to open Poe to all developers as it invites any developer with an AI model and trains them to perform specific tasks to incorporate into the app, attracting dozens of companies focused on publishing information on specific topics. (ie math, science, or something else) Generic bots don't have to have methods like ChatGPT that can answer a wide variety of questions but with varying degrees of accuracy.

Quora's move is part of a general trend in the technology world to use artificial intelligence technology in various services and applications.

It should be noted that the launch of Quora coincides with the launch of Google's chatbot (Bard), which has a similar idea to integrate it with Google search results to provide artificial intelligence and human text responses, similar to Microsoft's. Same intends to announce soon integration with the Bing search engine via ChatGPT.

It should be noted that Quora, a social network for questions and answers, started in English in 2009 and later added a number of other languages. The Arabic version of Quora was launched in 2019 and the site now has 400 million users.
