(LG Electronics) announced the launch of its new brand (LG Miraclass) for LED cinema screens.
The screens, according to the company, are "ideal for theater and cinema operators who want to offer moviegoers a new, superior and immersive service that delivers lifelike images with natural colors and deep blacks".
LG explained that the name Miraclass is a combination of two words: miracle, meaning (miracle) and class, meaning (model), so the name stands for “unprecedented picture quality that enhances audience immersion in movie scenes.”
LG said that with advanced LED technology, LG Miraclass screens help bring movies to life, enhance the movie-going or movie-going experience, and bring new value to theater owners and operators.
Four series of LG Miraclass monitors are currently available in different sizes (from 14 to 101 square meters) and screen resolutions (2K to 4K). The LDAA025-1 and LDAA012 have a screen width of 5 meters, which is a good choice for small theaters, which have become increasingly popular with the masses in recent years.
All Miraclass displays are compatible with Dolby's IMS3000 Integrated Media Server, meaning theater owners can deliver impressive picture and sound quality to enhance the guest experience.
Each model of the LG Miraclass monitor uses self-lighting LED pixels to deliver 24-bit color processing and excellent contrast ratios, adding depth and vibrancy to onscreen images. It also has strong, consistent brightness with no darkening in the corners, resulting in images and scenes that are crisp and distortion-free. In addition, LG Miraclass screens can display 68.7 billion different colors, providing a superior viewing experience that filmmakers and critics have come to expect.
With its intuitive software, LG Miraclass displays also provide easy management for cinema operators and save a lot of space as there is no need for a projection room.
In addition, the screen brightness can be set in five levels from 48 to 300 nits, which is suitable for various usage scenarios, from playing 2D or 3D movies to broadcasting corporate presentation content or content related to private celebrations.
Although LED cinema screens are relatively new, LG LED screens can be seen in many major cinemas around the world, and more are being installed in many cinemas in Asia, Europe and North America. In Spain, the Odeon Multisens Theater in Villanova recently installed LG Miraclass screens, and more screens will soon be available at the same cinema chain in Madrid and Barcelona.
