All the photos you take with your Android phones are saved in the gallery. Anyone using your phone can easily view the photos. It may contain private images that you do not want anyone to see. If so, you can hide your private photos on your Android phone using one of the following methods:
1 Images designed with built-in tools on Android phones:
Some mobile phone manufacturers have added built-in privacy tools that can help you hide photos. Safe is:
Samsung cell phone
If you have a Samsung mobile phone (Android 7.0) or higher, you can use Samsung's Secure Folders feature to save private files, photos, and even apps to a separate location with a password.
To set up a security folder for the first time, please follow these steps:
- Go to Settings and select Biometrics and Security.
- Click on the Security Folder option and sign in to your Samsung account.
- After logging in, the system will ask you to choose how to lock the file.
- After selecting the security folder and the way to lock it, the security folder can be used.
- To hide pictures in the security folder, open the security folder, click the "Add File" button and select the picture you want to hide.
LG cell phone:
If you have an LG mobile phone, please hide private photos according to the following steps:
- Open Settings and select Bio-Recognition and Biosecurity.
- Click the "Content Lock" option, then the mobile phone will prompt you to use the PIN, password or fingerprint to protect the function.
- Then go to the cell phone gallery app and then select all the photos to hide.
- Click the "Menu" button, then select "More" and then click the "LOCK" button.
- After clicking on the (lock) button, the photo will disappear from the gallery. To view it, please click the (Menu) button and select (View lock file).
- Enter your password, PIN, or use your fingerprint, whichever way you choose to protect, and the photo will reappear.
2- Use lock folder in google album:
Google Album provides the functionality to lock folders on devices running Android version 6 or higher. To use this hide private photos feature, follow these steps:
- Open the Google Albums app and go to the "Utility" tab.
- You will see the "Set Lock Folder" option and click on it.
- The system will ask you to confirm the folder lock method, which is the same method you use to lock your phone.
- Click the Mobile Project button that appears in the middle of the screen.
- Select all the photos and videos in the lock folder and then click on the mobile button.
- Click the Transfer button again to confirm.
