Modern iPhone has a lot of storage space, however, you are more likely to encounter storage full issue as you will see a warning (iPhone storage is full). This is usually caused by storing a large number of HD photos and videos and downloading a large number of applications and games.
Since iPhone does not support storage expansion via MicroSD cards, we usually buy more storage space in iCloud, but you can solve the entire iPhone storage problem in other ways, including the following:
1- Unzip or delete the application:
Before you start deleting apps from your phone at random, find out how much space each app is taking up on your phone to decide which apps to delete based on how much space they are taking up and how important they are to They are. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Go to Settings and select General.
- Click on the iPhone storage option and you will see a chart showing the available storage space on your phone. All apps are organized in a list according to the space each app takes up.
- Tap an app in the list to see details about how much storage it's using.
- You can uninstall or delete the app.
- Deleting an app will delete all apps and their data, and you can use this option for apps you no longer use.
- Emptying the app removes the most important files of the app, but leaves your data and media in the app. This is useful for heavy apps such as: PUBG Mobile This option removes the app if you plan to use it soon but need storage space now; Keep important data in the app if you reinstall it later.
2- Delete photos and videos:
For most people, videos and photos take up a lot of space on your iPhone. By deleting, you can free up more space on your phone and fix full storage issues. To do this, follow these steps:
- Go to (Settings), then tap on your Apple ID name.
- Click iCloud Options and then click Picture Options.
- Turn on the (iCloud Photos) option to upload your photos and videos to iCloud and save storage space on your phone.
- Copy photos and videos from iPhone to computer for backup. Then start deleting photos and videos from your phone.
- When you're done deleting the photos, go to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app and delete the photos there.
3- Clear data in Safari browser:
Internet browser caching gives you quick access to data from websites you've already visited. However, the data stored on the many websites you visit daily can take up storage space on your iPhone. Deleting allows you to free up some space on your phone. To do this, follow these steps:
- Go to the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Safari.
- From the Safari options menu, tap Clear History and Website Data.
- In the confirmation box, tap Clear History and Data
4- Delete old messages automatically:
Text messages in the iMessage app accumulate over time. You can limit the number of messages saved by deleting them automatically after a certain period of time. To do this, follow these steps:
- Go to (Settings) Settings and scroll down then choose (Messages) Messages.
- In the Message history section, click on the Keep messages option.
- Choose 30 days or a year instead of the default Forever.
- When the message appears, tap Delete to confirm that you want to delete the old message.
5- Clear WhatsApp data and media:
The data and media you get from chat apps like WhatsApp take up storage space on your phone and it might be a good idea to delete some of them to free up storage space. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open WhatsApp and click on the Settings button.
- Select (Storage and Data), then (Storage Management).
- You will see a list of your contacts and the total storage space occupied by the data and media exchanged with that contact.
- Click on a contact in the list and start deleting unwanted media like photos, videos, GIFs, and stickers.
