ChatGPT Plus launches a paid version of the AI bot

OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, has announced the launch of a paid version of its intelligent chatbot, ChatGPT Plus, which costs $20 per month. The service will initially be available to users in the US, with more countries to come later.

According to the company, ChatGPT Plus offers features that are not available to users of the free version, namely:

  • The ability to access the service at any time, especially during peak hours when the software is generally unavailable.
  • Faster response times.
  • Priority access to new features and improvements.

The launch of ChatGPT Plus will start gradually as it does not offer direct registration, but two tasks must be registered in the waiting list and the company will send them an invitation to participate, provided that the company later opens the subscription to anyone who wants.

OpenAI confirmed that its free service will continue to be available to all users and said that the free chat helps it learn more about the strengths and weaknesses of ChatGPT in order to improve it, as it has received millions of suggestions to improve the service.

In addition, the company announced plans for the upcoming launch of the ChatGPT API, a set of software interfaces that allow developers to take advantage of ChatGPT's capabilities when developing their own applications. He confirmed that he intends to offer the service at a lower price through the corporate program in the future.

In particular, the company is preparing to launch the fourth version of ChatGPT-4 this year, which aims to be faster and provide more accurate answers and better understanding of user questions.

On a related note, recent reports claim that Microsoft intends to integrate ChatGPT-4 into its Bing search engine, allowing ChatGPT results to appear alongside lists of normal search results. Microsoft invested $10 billion in OpenAI to upgrade its search engine with ChatGPT capabilities and seek more competition from Google, which dominates the search market.

According to unofficial sources, Google is working on its own version of ChatGPT, which works in a similar way and should be integrated into search engine results.
