Today, Apple launched new updates for its mobile devices (iPhone) and (iPad) and its smart watch, the Apple Watch. iPhone users can download a new update with iOS 16.3.1 version number, iPad users can download iPadOS 16.3.1, and Apple Watch will get wathOS 9.3.1 update.
The updates didn't bring any major new features, but they did include a number of important security fixes and some bug fixes.
The update fixes an issue that some users had with the iCloud cloud storage service app where they received repeated error messages about the service not responding The update also fixes an issue that occurred when Siri was asked to use the Use Find My app The app allows a user to find one of their devices or a contact his own.
Apple has also improved collision detection on (iPhone 14) and (iPhone 14 Pro). There have been previous reports of users complaining to the company over the past few weeks that their phones were sending false notifications about being involved in accidents while playing sports such as skiing. However, Apple did not specify if this issue was specifically addressed in the latest update.
Users can wait for the update to arrive on their device automatically, or update manually by going to the Settings app on iPhone and iPad, selecting General Settings, and tapping on the Software Update option. Apple Watch users can update by tapping the General option from the main menu and then tapping the Update button.
