Apple has registered a patent for the Apple Watch bracelet, which has electronic properties that can change color automatically or according to user needs. The aforementioned straps are also available in certain colors in order to draw attention to important notifications.
The patent, titled "An Adjustable Color Strap," claims that the technology saves users the expense of buying straps of different colors and designs for their watches, replacing them with straps that users can change to other colors at any time as needed can. The patent text also adds: “For some watches, the user can remove and replace the bracelet for customization, but this requires the user to have a separate bracelet for whatever color or design they prefer.”
According to Apple's description, the new laces consist of wires that have some or all of the "Electrochromen" properties that enable the laces to change color depending on voltage. Some filaments can carry a ladder to which the electrochromic layer can be attached to transmit voltage on the chromosome which can contain a layer of polymers that can change colour.
The patent confirms that it is possible to display a range of different colors at different times without the user having to equip the watch with several bracelets.
The aforementioned belt is not limited to displaying colors, and Apple claims that it will be able to display and highlight icons, shapes, and text in several forms. This indicates that the belt can display text warnings and can adapt it as required by the user.
It is reported that the Apple Watch is the best-selling smart watch on the market, and in 2022 it has 26% of the smart watch market share, more than double the SMAMSUNG Smartwatch market share.
