Things Siri can do on iPhone that you may not know

You can use Siri, the voice assistant (Siri) on your iPhone to get information and perform tasks such as hands.

But Siri's capabilities are not limited to these simple things. Apple is constantly expanding the voice assistant Siri with many voice commands and functions. Below we list 6 things you may not have used:

1- Search for saved passwords:

With iCloud Keychain, you can store usernames and passwords for different websites and apps across all of your Apple devices. You can access the information stored on your iPhone by going to (Settings) then (Password), but you can access it even faster using Siri, your voice assistant.

Just say: (Hey Siri, show the password to .. and say the name of the app or website) and you'll be automatically redirected to the page with the password you requested in your phone's settings. Your phone will ask you to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID before you can see your password.

2- Restart iPhone:

If you're having trouble with a specific app or your phone is unresponsive, you can usually fix the problem by restarting your iPhone by pressing and holding the power button and volume button for about a second. However, if your iPhone is running iOS 16, you can ask Siri to quickly restart your phone hands-free by saying: (Hey Siri, restart my phone) and (Yes) to confirm.

3- Turn off the alarm:

If the alarm goes off on your iPhone and you don't manually turn it off, it will go off after 15 minutes, which can be annoying if you're not near your phone or can't find it. You can do this by saying (Hey Siri, stop the alarm) to have Siri stop the alarm, or you can say (Hey Siri) to just turn off the alarm.

4- Use Search to find a friend or family member:

Find Finder allows you to track your Apple devices and keep track of the locations of your friends and family. When you track someone's location with Find Me, you can use Siri to quickly find out where they are.

All you have to do is say: (Hey Siri, where's the..."So you mention the contact's name"?), and a small "Find My" window will appear at the top of your phone screen, showing the exact location from the contact to the person. Siri also shows how far it is from you and its approximate address. Clicking on the Find My window takes you directly to the Find My app, where you can contact the person you're looking for, get directions to their location, and more.

5- Translate a word or phrase:

You can ask Siri to translate individual words or entire sentences with your voice. Example: You can say: (Hey Siri, translate this sentence into Spanish: "I'm having a headache, I think I'm going to sleep") You will translate this sentence, and then Siri will read the sentence in the original language in Spanish. If you want to listen to the subtitles again, you can click the play button in the subtitle window that appears.

6- Set reminders based on your location:

The Reminders app on your iPhone helps you remember the things you need to do throughout the day, like go to school. B. Make a call or send an email. But sometimes you may need to remember to do a task when you get to a certain place, and that's exactly what a voice assistant can do. Example: If you want your phone to remind you to pay your internet bill when you get home, say (Hey Siri, remind me to pay my internet bill when I get home) and a reminder will pop up on your phone when you go home.
