| Samsung announces its Smart Monitor M8 screen |
On Monday, Samsung announced a group of new screens as part of its participation in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2023), including: Smart Monitor M8.
The Korean tech giant said in a statement that the smart display model (M80C) has a sleek and slim design and now comes in a new 27-inch size in addition to the current 32-inch size, both of which are 4K Ultra-Support HD resolution. .
The Smart Monitor M8 is available in four colors to fit any space. Available colors are: blue, green, pink and white.
Samsung claims that the height-adjustable stand with angled brackets provides users with the best angle. The screen now rotates 90 degrees vertically and is VESA compliant to save space and maintain a wireless environment.
Smart Monitor M8 can connect, control and manage hundreds of compatible connected devices; Integrated with SmartThings Hub across Samsung's smart home device platform, including lights, cameras, doorbells, locks, and thermostats.
The company plans to expand the choice and availability of smart home devices starting this year by supporting smart home standards, Matter standards, and the Home Connectivity Alliance standard.
Samsung says it has added mouse control to several (Smart Monitor) apps, including (Smart Hub) and (SmartThings Hub), for a new level of convenient control without a remote control.
Users can use M8 Smart Monitor to instantly access content streaming services: Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, etc. through the Smart Hub platform. You can also easily access game streaming platforms (Samsung Game Center).
According to Samsung, the new My Content feature provides users with useful information at a glance. When the monitor is in sleep mode and detects a smartphone paired with the system via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), it displays the user's personal photos, calendar, and other content on the screen. Once the phone is out of range, the screen will go back to sleep mode.
Samsung added that the (SlimFit) camera built into the (Smart Monitor M8) has been upgraded to 4K resolution and works with video conferencing applications such as Google Meet.
In addition, (Smart Monitor M8) is protected by security technology (Samsung Knox Vault) that encrypts personal data and isolates stored files and information from the device's main operating system to protect it from attacks.
It should be noted that, in addition to the new smart screen, Samsung also released three other screens for game lovers and content producers, namely: (Odyssey Neo G9), (Odyssey OLED G9), and (ViewFinity S9).
The company may provide more details regarding the display during the (CES 2023) conference, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA on Thursday and will continue until Sunday.
