Q: Why do we choose a 365nm UV flashlight instead of a 395nm UV flashlight?
A: Compared with 395nm UV light, 365nm black light can find more places invisible to the naked eye more clearly and accurately. Euberlite rocks glow bright orange only in UV365-nm light, but not in UV-395nm light. A 365nm UV flashlight "pops" glowing rocks, making them easier to find.
Q: Why can't a portion of cat urine be detected with a UV flashlight?
A: Because cat urine contains a small amount of minerals or elements (mainly phosphorous) that fluoresce under ultraviolet light. However, some cats eat low-phosphorous food and water, so they have low levels of phosphorus in their urine, so their urine may not be detectable by UV light.
