Microsoft sets the long-awaited release date for Minecraft Legends |
On Monday, Microsoft has scheduled the release of its highly anticipated game Minecraft Legends across multiple platforms.
The US tech giant said on its blog that the game will launch on April 18 for PCs and game consoles, whether owned by it or another company.
The company added: “On this day, you will be the hero who bravely fights the corruption of the nether pigs. You will explore an open world full of treasures and dangers, turn old enemies into new friends and meet new people. Mystical characters and develop epic battles with your allies against evil pigs.”
Minecraft Legends is a video game that has strategy elements at its core, with mechanics inspired by action games. It is explored from a third-person perspective and supports multiplayer.
The game takes place in the world of Minecraft during the invasion of the Nether Pigs. As the pigs race across the world, the player's hero fights against the pigs to save the world and can gather into hordes to help defend his homeland.
Minecraft Legends development began in 2018 before it was announced on June 12, 2022 during the (Xbox) and (Bethesda) Games Show.
According to Microsoft, Minecraft Legends will be available for Windows 10 and Windows 11 PC, as well as for the Game Pass gaming platform.
It will also work on Nintendo Switch, Sony PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and Steam game streaming platform.
Of course, in addition to the cloud platform (Xbox Cloud Gaming), the game will also be available for the company's gaming platforms: Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One.
