| Microsoft officially begins testing Notepad tabs in Windows 11 |
Microsoft on Thursday launched a new version of its Notes app for Windows 11 that makes tabs available to users who sign up for the beta program (Windows Insiders) through the Dev Channel.

The American software giant has also added support for keyboard shortcuts to manage Notepad tabs, as well as some improvements for handling unsaved files, such as automatically creating file titles or tabs based on content and an indicator of unsaved changes.
This new feature makes Notepad the first program with a tabbed user interface integrated with Windows since File Exloprer, which got the feature last year.
Microsoft is aware of the issues affecting this new feature and is warning users that there may be problems when using keyboard shortcuts.
