| YouTube is testing audio tracks and video searches |
Google announced Monday at a special event in India that it's working on a way to make it easier to find YouTube videos, create tutorials, and maintain multiple audio tracks to make it easier to deliver content in many different languages.
The company is still testing these features, so they may not be fully available to everyone, including the ability to let users search for YouTube videos through the search app.
Google says the feature is available when a user searches for something and there's a video in the results, to click the "Search video" button, which allows them to type in a phrase to see if it appears in the copied video. They are usually generated automatically by YouTube.
If the sentence is in text, users can see its location and tap the timestamp to go directly to when the sentence was spoken, according to a screencast tweet shared by an Indian Google account.
It should be noted that the ability to search automatically or manually in the text of the video is not a completely new feature, since it has been on the web for a long time, but it seems that it is more difficult than Google search, as it requires opening the copy of the text, locating it and jumping to the moment by clicking on the character temporal. .
YouTube announced in October 2021 that it would attempt to give users the ability to do the same on its mobile app. Although it is now possible to view copied text on Android and iOS, the ability to search for text is not widely available.
The company also announced a feature called Courses, which allows content creators to offer a set of educational videos for a fee, along with additional materials such as PDFs or images that will be available within the associated video.
Google is also working on another feature that could simplify YouTube tutorials and other videos by allowing creators to add multiple audio tracks in different languages, similar to those available on some streams and movies. Access the service in multiple languages.
The company says the feature, which is currently in beta testing at some healthcare companies and hospitals in India, works similarly to the subtitle system, where you tap the subtitle icon in Settings and then the audio track menu, which shows you all the videos. Available language.
